Spenlow dies suddenly, leaving Dora an orphan in the care of her two aunts. Micawber and his wife are both on the edge of financial ruin, but they don't let it get their spirits down too much. How will this get resolved? Creakle is a terrible bully, and all of the children cower before him. Soon, Dora dies, but David is too preoccupied dealing with the fallout from Mr. He also meets Tommy Traddles who is boarding with the Micawber's, bringing the delightful but economically useless character back into the story. Mell has called Steerforth base and mean, and that Steerforth called Mr. Inside everything is clean, quaint, warm, and inviting.
Finally, one evening, an acquaintance of Emily and David's, Martha Endell, seeks David out and leads him to a poor attic room where Emily is staying in London. First of all, Miss Betsey has her ears plugged in order to block out Mrs. Micawber is so happy to be free of Uriah Heep that he runs straight home and hugs his wife. Then he comes back his home and he learns that he has a brother. David enjoys the visit—particularly Mr. David spends two terms at Salem House learning what he can and trying to avoid being beaten by Mr.
Wickfield knows that Uriah Heep wants to marry Agnes, and that Agnes is worth a thousand Uriah Heeps. Murdstone and his awful sister immediately start scolding David's mother for being too affectionate with her son. Peggotty, who has achieved modest financial success as a farmer. Barkis is about to die, and he remains there to settle Peggotty's affairs for some time afterwards. There are times when the novel moves slowly, but the positives outweigh the negatives and David Copperfield is a book for everyone. He's born on a Friday, at 12:00 am, in Blunderstone, Suffolk.

Dora eventually becomes pregnant, but either miscarries or gives birth to a child that dies almost immediately. David is sent to the boarding school in London. Mell as the son of a beggar and forcing him to leave the school. Uriah Heep has gotten it thanks to extortion and blackmail. David gets used to his job and life. When they arrive at the school, David finds out that he has arrived during a break and the other boys are gone. He decides to move to Australia, where Little Em'ly can start a new life, as does the Micawber family.
The difficulty of being an adult, of marrying, of finding love and of getting on feel very real and shine from every page of this delightful book. So, the long and short of it is that Miss Betsey is totally out of luck, and she's come to ask David to rise to the occasion and support her. But this partnership is not a just reward for hard work, oh no. Miss Betsey loves Dora, and comes to stay in David's house to nurse her. Murdstone has designs on David's mother. Lady Pegotty, helper of domestic works, will be nanny of David later. Murdstone is a stern, cruel man who flatters the sweet, young Mrs.
After she suffers a miscarriage, she never regains her strength and she dies. Micawber, but nothing ever turns up — so they get deeper and deeper into debt. David eventually meets a young girl named Dora and marries her at the age of twenty one in which time he becomes a successful writer. About two months later, Peggotty invites David to spend a fortnight with her at her brother's place at Yarmouth. When he and Peggotty return home, however, David learns that his mother and Mr.
Creakle thanks Steerforth for protecting Salem House's reputation, and the boys applaud though David feels miserable. Creakle is outraged that anyone could claim that there is favoritism at Salem House. David is in a fix and he decides to go to his aunt.
